The Art of Sacred Self-Care: Nurturing Your Inner Empress
Welcome back to Empress Essence, where we continue our journey of self-discovery and empowerment. In our last blog post, we explored the essence of feminine energy and the importance of embracing our inner Empress. Today, let us delve deeper into the practice of sacred self-care—a cornerstone of our journey towards embodying our fullest potential.
Honoring Your Temple: Your body is a sacred vessel—a temple that houses your divine essence. Treat it with the reverence it deserves by nourishing it with wholesome foods, movement, and rest. Practice self-care rituals that honor your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Whether it's a gentle yoga session, a nourishing meal, or a soothing bath, prioritize activities that replenish and rejuvenate your body.
Cultivating Mindfulness: In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to become disconnected from the present moment. Cultivate mindfulness as a means of anchoring yourself in the here and now. Take time each day to pause, breathe, and tune into your senses. Whether it's through meditation, mindful movement, or simply savoring a cup of tea, allow yourself to fully immerse in the richness of each moment.
Embracing Ritual and Ceremony: Rituals and ceremonies hold profound significance in honoring the sacred within and around us. Create rituals that speak to your soul—a morning gratitude practice, a full moon ceremony, or a sacred space for reflection and intention-setting. Infuse these rituals with meaning and intention, allowing them to serve as potent reminders of your connection to the divine.
Setting Boundaries: Boundaries are essential for preserving your energy and maintaining your inner harmony. Learn to discern what nurtures your soul and what depletes it. Set clear boundaries around your time, energy, and relationships, honoring your needs and priorities. Remember, saying no to what no longer serves you is an act of self-love and empowerment.
Cultivating Creativity: Creativity is a powerful expression of feminine energy—a force that flows through you, inspiring innovation, beauty, and growth. Engage in activities that ignite your creative spark—whether it's painting, writing, dancing, or gardening. Allow yourself the freedom to play, explore, and express your unique essence without inhibition.
As we conclude our exploration of sacred self-care, I invite you to incorporate these practices into your daily life with intention and reverence. Remember, nurturing your inner Empress is not selfish; it is an act of profound love and devotion to yourself and those around you. Embrace the art of sacred self-care and watch as it illuminates your path towards wholeness and fulfillment.
We invite you to share your own self-care rituals below, and stay tuned for upcoming  community events focused on sacred self-care practices.

And of course it is Ramadan which is a time for building good habits

The Soul-Cleansing Blood of the Lamb
11 “Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days. 12 He shall cleanse himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and so be clean. But if he does not cleanse himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not become clean. 13 Whoever touches a dead person, the body of anyone who has died, and does not cleanse himself, defiles the tabernacle…

A meal, a cleansing and a good nights sleep.
09/26/2023 - Tuesday, a day of Mars.
Today was a day of renewal for me and my household. We caught up on much needed rest, we spent quality time with each other and I was productive with house chores and exercise.
I went to the gym, something that is finally becoming a habit with the help of roommates. I did laundry. And then I made dinner. Dinner is such a great thing. Good food. Communion with loved ones, friends, family. I love to cook and tonight the menu consisted of balsamic glazed chicken, potatoes and salad.
The fresh rosemary and lemon that I was using to cook with inspired me. As I chopped up the rosemary, I picked a few pieces to put aside. Once I had squeezed the lemons dry, I shaved off a few slices of their peels.
I finished making dinner and we enjoyed it as a family. Then I took those saved pieces and ground them up, mixing in some sage and rose petals. With a thankful heart and a full belly, I prayed that these ingredients would help to renew the energy in my household and myself.
The bright yellow of the lemon made me smile, the rosemary was comforting and the sage was protective. Rose for love above all else. I ended our day by smoke cleansing our home.
In each room I stopped to pray and connect, each blessing formed specifically for the room I was in. I connected with my goddesses and brought in good energy, good spirits and banished all that was blocking our way. With the windows open and autumns air flowing, I said my thanks for the magic in my life and in my home tonight and always.
Blessings to all, peaceful energy as we rest and collect ourselves tonight. So may it be.

Title: The Pre-Christian Origins of Baptism Channel: ReligionForBreakfast (Dr. Andrew Henry) Length: 5:00
Etymology of Baptism is Greek for "immersion;" links to common Jewish ritual of ritual purification in a mikvah, talks about Biblical law as it relates to mikvah. Differences; mikvah was done many times in life, John's baptism was a seemingly one-time initiation ritual; atonement for sin is central to John's baptism.

one of the best minimalistic witchy things you can do is clean your house.
seriously. light a candle and go to town. in the process of cleaning, you’re also metaphysically cleansing your space which opens doors to renew wards and put up additional barriers if necessary.
you’ll feel much better afterwards, and remember to take breaks if you need to.

Second chunk of the [Weretober] prompts of Tim (and by extension Ratman) getting turned into a bunch of different animal guys!
Seriously, how does he keep doing this? This is bananas, like stop it, man. This is going to be terrible for his back. :/
(Prompts #8-14 in order: Kangaroo -> Otter -> Hebridean Sheep -> Deep Sea -> Serpent -> Antlers-> Quokka + Bonus Sketches under cut)
When drawing Kangaratman, I was thinking somehow Tim would get roped into underground fighting for money, and it reminded me how much I LOOOVE the specific scenario of "werecreature gets put into a fight/cage match/etc". Doubly so when the human's not much of a fighter. >:]!! So I wanted to draw more:
Tumblr media
Later my friend made me realize Tim's whole ass would be hanging out after he turned back and it made me laugh HOILKJFD (BTW this is a tumblr exclusive sketch, twitter did NOT get it, you're welcome):
Tumblr media
And finally some bonus Snim (Snake Tim) thumbnails! I had a hard time deciding on the pose because honestly I liked them all:

A scene in which a still bruised, and broken, and entirely jaded Jayce who's seen so much of his dream of magic corrupted by what he experienced in the 'future'/alternate dimensions he traversed with the wild runes, and from 'killing' his best friend, and knowing that everything he worked to build since that very first time he encountered magic as a child and it completely transformed his life - ALL OF IT has become this sick, poisoned, destructive, ultimately toxic thing --
Tumblr media
-- to find a Mel, also a little broken and fragile after her experience in the oculorum, the fresh grief of losing Kino-who-wasn't-Kino again, and the discovery of what she is, and how that's completely overturned everything of how she understands herself, the world around her, her mother and brother, her entire family, her banishment because absolutely nothing is as she knew it to be ALL because of this revelation that she's made of magic. This new reality that still feels like it doesn't fit, like a joke awaiting a punchline. But it's not a joke because she's still got the bruises from her time in that pocket dimension prison, and her best friend's dead, and her adopted city's broken, and so's she.
Tumblr media
But anyway, I want Jayce and Mel to have some time alone, patching each other a bit, being soft and sexy and gentle because they can recognise the shadows in each other's eyes and the hopelessness and trauma. And for Mel to show him, just a little of what she can do as she's still discovering it herself. Nothing crazy, just let a bit of that sun magic flow over him, and light up his world again, and remind him of why he loves her so much--
nothing feels impossible when I'm with you.
And when she sees the wonder in Jayce's eyes, that awe and faith, the purity of his love for her, and that old fascination with magic, untainted by whatever hextech's become, just pure and beautiful and lovely and hers. And for her to find her way back to herself in that certainty of his.
That's what I want.

It is currently 3 in the morning and I can't sleep because I keep thinking about how ahsoka tano was absolutely going to go back to the jedi, she needed to figure out who she was outside of the jedi order first but she was going to go back.
At the end of the day she was always a jedi and she thought she had all the time in the world to make her way back to her people, she just didn't know that the option was going to be forcefully ripped from her, that she would never be able to go back because they would no longer be there to welcome her.
The grief and the guilt she must have felt after, never again feeling like she could call herself one of them because she didn't fall alongside them.
Anyways, I was watching order 66 edits cause I love pain and that's what made me think of this fyi, bye love u.

Morning Energy Boost Ritual☀️🧡✨
Tumblr media
(GIF is not mine!!)
Some mornings I find it hard to actually get out of bed and get myself ready to face the day ahead. So here is the simple mood boosting ritual I carry out in the mornings (when I have the time!) to give myself that extra kick and really get myself prepared for the day, feeling confident in myself and prepared for whatever may come my way🧡
What you will need:
• Orange or lemon essential oil
• A glass of water
• A small piece of citrine or clear quartz
Steps:
1. Prepare the Space: Find a quiet space to sit in the morning.
2. Essential Oil: Put a few drops of orange or lemon essential oil on your wrists and take a deep breath.
3. Hold the Crystal: Hold the citrine or clear quartz in your hand.
4. Positive Affirmations: Say positive affirmations such as, “I am energized and ready to take on the day,” and “I attract positive energy.”
5. Drink Water: Drink the glass of water slowly, visualizing it filling you with energy and light.
6. Carry the Crystal: Carry the crystal with you throughout the day to maintain your energy boost!
I hope that this little ritual can help you all feel a bit more positive about the day ahead! Sometimes a quick energy boost is what you need to get you started!✨🧡

hey loves, let’s talk about one of my favorite energy-cleansing rituals: egg cleansing. it’s a practice rooted in ancient traditions (think mexican curanderismo, filipino spiritual beliefs, and other cultures) and is all about removing negative energy, bad vibes, or even spiritual blockages. i’m obsessed with how simple, yet powerful it is. if you’re feeling drained, stuck, or like something just isn’t right, this might be exactly what you need.
here’s a step-by-step guide to help you try it out:
ingredients
• 1 fresh egg (organic if possible—keep that energy pure!)
• a glass of water, salt, (chilly flakes and black salt)
how to perform an egg cleansing
1. set your intention:
• before starting, center yourself. light a candle, burn some incense, or say a quick prayer/affirmation like:
“i release all negativity and invite peace and clarity into my life.”
2. prepare the egg:
• rub some salt on the egg (massage the egg with salt) hold the egg in your hands and infuse it with your intention. visualize it absorbing all the bad vibes, negativity, and heavy energy that’s been lingering
3. cleanse your aura:
• starting at the crown of your head, gently roll the egg over your body. move downward head, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, stomach, legs, and finally your feet. don’t forget your back and sides if possible.
• as you do this, visualize the egg soaking up all the negativity. you can say something like:
“this egg absorbs all that does not serve me.” “this egg is absorbing all the negative energy” “i can finally start on a clean slate now”
4. crack the egg into water:
• once you’re done, carefully crack the egg into a glass of water (add some salt too in the water). be gentle; you don’t want to break the yolk right away.
• look at the egg and water for any patterns, bubbles, or shapes. these can symbolize the energy it picked up:
bubbles or spikes: negativity or tension.
cloudy whites: emotional heaviness.
cloudy water: signifies confusion, stress, or emotional overwhelm.
blood spots in the yolk: can indicate psychic attacks, curses, or unresolved trauma.
multiple bubbles in the yolk: represents people or situations contributing to your stress.
floating yolk or egg white: suggests unresolved emotions or health concerns.
a clear yolk and water: you’re in the clear, babe!
5. dispose of it properly:
• pour the chilly flakes and black salt mixture in it and flush it down the toilet or bury it far from your home. never keep the egg it’s carried away the energy you want to be free from.
pro tips for the best results
• perform this ritual during the waxing moon or full moon for heightened power.
• try doing this while in showers (naked) i did it like that
why it works/ why i did it
it’s not just about the egg. the act of intentionally focusing on your energy, visualizing negativity leaving your body, and creating sacred time for yourself is powerful af. combine that with the natural spiritual conductivity of an egg, and you’ve got a low-key yet magical ritual.
if you’ve ever tried this or plan to, let me know your experience! spiritual hygiene is just as important as physical hygiene, and rituals like this remind us to check in with ourselves.
so, yesterday something huge happened in the cosmos—pluto shifted into aquarius. if you know anything about astrology, you know this is massive energy. like, i felt it immediately. this shift brought this overwhelming urge to reinvent myself, release the old, and just become. but before stepping into this new chapter, i knew i had to cleanse myself energetically, spiritually, emotionally. i needed to clear all the stuck energy weighing me down. that’s why today, i pulled out one of my favorite rituals: the egg cleanse. it felt symbolic, like cracking open a whole new version of me. with Pluto entering Aquarius, this is the time to embrace transformation, growth, and that next-level glow up.
if you want to join me on this journey of becoming a higher self. please comment, like, reblog, and follow let's embrace the glow of together.
